Yield: Serves 3 (1/2 cup serving)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cups quick cooking oatmeal
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and grated
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. raisins
  • Sugar substitute to taste, optional

Instructions

  1. Bring water and salt to boil in saucepan

  2. Stir in oatmeal, apple, cinnamon and raisins

  3. Reduce heat and cook 1 minutes until water is absorbed

  4. Serve hot with sugar substitute

  5. Add two tablespoons of fat free half and half for a creamier texture
